F733AU

Problem:

i baught a new notebook compaq presario F733AU
i had installed xp in it but there r no drivers working with it
i also tried v3611TU drivers but the problem is same
only vga is driver is working

Solution
:
  1. The ultimate solution for Compaq F733AU VGA Driver:

First of all pl. note that the sp33537 driver will not work in any circumstances. After installing the driver all you get is the Blue Skin Of Death and after that the laptop will restart with the old resolution and with unknown driver. Don' t wary we are there to help you.

Some people may also visited the nearby customer service center of HP/Compaq and all they came to know that no WinXP VGA driver is available for this model. Most probably they will suggest you to load Windows Vista since all drivers are available for vista. Don't get excited and try to load Vista. Note that you are having only 512 MB RAM. It will be a suicide doing that, since Vista required 2 GB of RAM to run properly.

    Now the solution:

From NVIDIA site or from any PC magazine obtain the latest driver for Desktop computer not the NVIDIA GO Series driver, I mean the driver we use for our Desktop PCI-E/AGP card. Currently when we are writing this solution the latest driver is ForceWare Release 169.21 released on 19th December, 2007 & the size is 43.8 MB. Without any hesitation download that. Now after the download is complete double click the .exe file to load it as your Display Driver.By default it will create a folder in C Drive like C:/NVIDIA & the driver will start to load. However at the end it will fail to locate your VGA Adapter.Don't get disappointed. We are there.

NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. DON'T DELETE THE FOLDER WHERE THE DRIVER IS LOADED I.E. C:/NVIDIA. NOW FROM CONTROL PANEL GO TO SYSTEM AND FROM THERE CLICK HARDWARE FOLLOWED BY DEVICE MANAGER. YOU WILL SEE THE VGA ADAPTER WITH A YELLOW EXCLAMATION SIGN BESIDE IT.RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND CHOOSE UPDATE. IN THE NEXT SCREEN CHOSE THAT YOU WANT TO CHOOSE THE DRIVER FROM A SPECIFIC LOCATION. THEN FROM THE NEXT WINDOW CHOOSE 'DON'T SEARCH, I WILL CHOOSE THE DRIVER TO INSTALL'.

NOW THE LAST PART: A LIST OF NVIDIA DRIVER WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE LEFT HAND PANE. VERY CAUTIOUSLY CHOOSE NVIDIA GeForce 7150/NVIDIA nForce 610M.CHOOSE 'HAVE DISK' . NOW BROWSE AND CHOOSE THE .INF FILE FROM C:/NVIDIA FOLDER. AFTER A WHILE THE COMPUTER WILL RESTART WITH 800X600 RESOLUTION. FROM SETTING NOW CHOOSE 1280X800 PIXEL RESOLUTION WITH REFRESH RATE 60 HERTZ.VOILLA, IT'S OVER.

    FINALLY YOU WILL SEE:-

    CHIP TYPE : 7000M / nForce 610M
ADAPTER TYPE : NVIDIA GeForce 7150/NVIDIA nForce 610M

ALL DVD/MOVIE WILL RUN NOW SMOOTHLY AND ALL YOUR TENSION WILL BE OVER NOW.

This solution is done by me i.e Arindam Mukherjee from Kolkata (Calcutta - India) and Mrs. Sarbari Bagchi (Delhi - India) from whom I get continuous inspiration. So if you all are satisfied please mail both of us a small token of love in our mail address.
