I download from Windows Vista to XP and I was able to find all the Drivers except the Driver Sound for Windows XP.
my drivers for compaq presario c700 failed to be installed

I have Compaq Presario a901tu notebook. I had downgraded vista to xp. there is no audio driver in my device manager. I had tried many driver files. I got this error "DRIVER INSTALLATION FAILED. COULD NOT FIND MEDIA DEVICE FOR THIS DRIVER" could someone help me out this prob.

1. installl xp first . then using that identify ur audio codec . then go to the companys suoort section website and downlaod the latest drivers

Compaq Presario 700 PC Notebook HP Compaq Presario C773TU with conexant HD Audio...

Problem:

I brought a HP Compaq Presario C773TU Laptop which comes with DOS only. I put Windows XP on it even though HP promotes vista. Got all interfaces up except the connexant HD audio. Tried and failed various packs from HP and net.
The installation of Conexant audio 4.31.2.0 for vista only installable-but no audio.For all the rest, "media not found" pops up.

Can any body please suggest how I can get this Audio Driver for XP?

I have installed XP in Compaq Presario 707TU Laptop. I have configured audio as below. Install Microsoft UAA sp31994, then install High-definition audio driver sp33443. But I get the error message "Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.

1. I think you must try to install realtek audio driver coz it works for most of the speakers.And if that doesn't work PLEASE check that your spekers are intalled properly.And please first completely remove the previous audio drivers.

1. The ultimate solution for Compaq F733AU VGA Driver:
   
   First of all pl. note that the sp33537 driver will not work in any circumstances. After installing the driver all you get is the Blue Skin Of Death and after that the laptop will restart with the old resolution and with unknown driver. Don' t wary we are there to help you.
   
   Some people may also visited the nearby customer service center of HP/Compaq and all they came to know that no WinXP VGA driver is available for this model. Most probably they will suggest you to load Windows Vista since all drivers are available for vista. Don't get excited and try to load Vista. Note that you are having only 512 MB RAM. It will be a suicide doing that, since Vista required 2 GB of RAM to run properly.
   
   Now the solution:
