Solution:

1. I would agree with the guest user. I have a K800i and Vista and although the USB internet and drivers work, they do have a reputation to stop responding. If you have bluetooth then use that or buy a USB bluetooth stick.
2. There is a SE suite on the sony ericson website that caters for Vista. I am not sure how well it works as i still use XP.www.sonyericsson.com Sign in and search for the software.If not search for the SE suite on www.download.comthey usually are pretty good for the suites like this.

Game and application operation failed

Problem:

i could not open my game and application, it will display operation failed, and then i try to reformat it, but it is not work. please help my problem

Solution:

This problem is probably a glitch because when I Master Resetted my phone this problem occured to my Sony Ericsson K800i. I would try to go to a Sony Ericsson shop to fix it because when I asked them they said they will have to re-install the Sony Ericsson software in the phone. Hope this helps!

1. Enter the wrong securuty code 3 times. Phone then asks for P.U.K. Code :- This is an 8 digit code that should be somewhere in the documentation that came with the phone. If you can't find in in docs. make sure you've registered your Sim-Card with the network & you can log on to the networks home page (via PC) then you'll find under the support or help tab an option that says unlock phone, select this it'll then ask you to enter your Phone number, do this & it'll generate ur PUK Code, enter the code it gives you on your phone.Only other way is to ring ur networks customer services from another network or a land-line & ask for your PUK Code they'll ask for your Phone number then give you the correct code, enter the code they give you.BUT BE CAREFUL IF YOU ENTER THE PUK CODE INCORRECTLY 10 TIMES IT'LL BLOCK YOUR SIM-CARD COMPLETELY & YOU'LL NEED TO BUY A NEW SIM.
2. Complete information :The SIM card protects your subscription and not the phone from unauthorised users. If you change SIM cards you can still use your phone with a new SIM card. Most SIM cards are blocked at the time of purchase. If your SIM card lock is on you have to enter your PIN (Personal Identity Card) every time you turn on the phone.If you enter the wrong password three times in a row the SIM card gets blocked. This is indicated by the message PIN Blocked To unblock this you need to enter your PUKNote: card (Personal Unblocking Key). Your PIN and PUK is supplied by your service provider. You can edit your PIN and select a new four to eight digit number
   If the Message Codes do not match appears when you edit your PIN you entered the new PIN incorrectly.

How to format

How to format K800i, i already tried to 'Master Reset" the phone , But still 'Operation Failed' when i open the GAMES and APPLICATION Folders, is it mean the phone should be formatted and reprogrammed, where and how can i get the program if this is the case.

Although this is not a solution, I now know the cause of our problem.After a bit of further investigation, I found that this is a hardware problem mostly caused by water damage.a small connection lint corrodes or burns through. This can happen some time after the actual exposure to moisture at which point the phone will start with this problem. It seems as if this is a very common problem with the K800i.I hope this helps all you frustrated K800i owners out there.

Will not turn on

When i try to turn the phone on the phone will not turn on but a red light flashes on the inferred strip on the bottom right hand corner.

Solution:

1. Hi, Before sending your phone in for a flash or attempting to do it yourself (wotanserver), I would suggest the following. Take out the battery and leave it out overnight. Then put it back in the following day and try turning the phone on. If this didn't help, then flashing is required. You can try flashing with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) which is free (wotanserver requires credits=money). Good luck!

K800I SMS

Problem:

I had to reset my phone and seemed to have lost SMS, is there any way of restoring it? I need to to set the way I want to recieve text messages or is there another way?

Solution:

1. check your sim card is fully in it's designated spot :D
2. No way to retrive deleted sms , also next time do nto do full rest ,
3. i had same problem had to ring phone provider up (orange) and they sent phone an update for sms now all is ok
